About last night😍 I was craving French onion soup... I was craving butternut coconut milk bisque... I was lazy & not interested in the dishes both would produce... I was also determined so I made the most amazing hybrid soup recipe ever. SUSHI SALAD I have been craving smoked salmon and pickled ginger like crazy lately so I picked up ginger from the store today and defrosted my last piece of home made smoked salmon from the summer and threw together this giant sushi salad! #saladbowl 👉 smoked salmon, pickled ginger, carrots, bell pepper, cucumber, pineapple, caulirice sautéed in low sodium soy sauce all on a bed of romaine tossed in white balsamic. Chicken Korma with #nigella seeds and @traderjoes garlic naans! Oh what a glorious day! I won't say this gorgeous dish is super simple to make, but it's so worth the effort. Not too spicy, the caramelized onion based gravy gives a great depth of flavour to the chicken. The key to a juicy and flavorful piece of chicken is an overnight marinade in yogurt, ginger-garlic and spices. This hits all the right spots😋

Vegan Potato Salad 🥔🥔 - Here’s a dish that is an excellent way to kick off the Memorial Day Holiday and it’s healthy too! 👩🏽‍🍳Ingredients: 8 Yukon Gold potatoes peeled and sliced into small cubes 3/4 cup of red onion chopped 2/3 cup of celery chopped 3/4 cup of chopped parsley 🌿🌿 1/3 teaspoon pepper 1/3 teaspoon sea salt (optional) 2 teaspoons of dijon mustard 1 1/2 teaspoon of relish 3/4 cup of vegan mayonnaise Paprika (optional) 👩🏽‍🍳Directions: Place the diced potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. 💦 💦 Boil the diced potatoes 🥔 for about 20 minutes or until tender. Once the potatoes are tender, drain the water 💦 out of the pot. Let potatoes 🥔 cool before mixing in the other ingredients. If you are in a hurry, you can rinse with a few changes of cold water 💦 to speed up the cooling process. Put the cooked potatoes , 🥔 onion, celery, red pepper, parsley, sea salt, pepper, relish, dijon mustard and vegan mayonnaise and stir to combine. The mayo will vary depending on the size of the dish. Enjoy!👩🏽‍🍳

Or, "I should eat more salad 🥗 and less {insert favorite and tasty food}." . . 👉🏼 But why? 🤔 👉🏼 Why do you have to remove something, just to add something in? 👉🏼 Why can't you eat both? . . Diets ("clean eating", paleo, raw food, pick your poison) all have one thing in common: eliminate foods and even entire food groups, all in the name of "health" and "wellness." . . But more often than not, this extreme approach only makes you feel SUPER DEPRIVED 😩 and CRAVING 🤪 all of the foods that you can no longer eat! Soon, these foods are all you can think about 😭 and you start to feel guilty that your "willpower" sucks. Eventually, you give out and maybe eat them in secret, all while feeling like a total failure. 😭😭😭 . . Sound familiar? . . I've been there. And it SUCKED BIG TIME. But there's another way! . . @maxweberfit I have been craving swedish fish and while I was in the check out line at Wegmans they had their yummy version that is only 110 calories for one serving which is one of each flavor!! I had room in my flexible diet for 2 servings which is 220 calories which made my cravings go away. You need to find a way to fit the fun foods into your diet somehow or someway that's the only way you will be happy and willing to stick to a successful plan like I have!!
