A huge key to success that I think is often overlooked, is having a strong support system. ———————————————————————— Sure you can do it on your own, but it’s so so much harder by yourself. When you have people watching you, and cheering you on, you don’t want to let them see you fail—it’s a healthy kind of motivation. When you do start to lose sight of your goal, they are there to point you back on track. ———————————————————————— I want to challenge YOU to drink a gallon of water, and exercise for 30 minutes a day for 30 days. My exercise that I’ll be incorporating will be stair master and running—because let’s be honest, cardio is my downfall. 😅 ———————————————————————— You can do anything for 30 days, and you’ll feel so much better after this challenge that you won’t want to stop. #transformationtuesday beach edition! 💁🏻‍♀️ . These pictures were taken about 1 year apart. For the past year, I’ve been focusing on weight training with the occasional BBG ab workout thrown in (honestly, @kayla_itsines creates the best ab circuits!!) and cardio 2-4 times per week. . But the main difference between these pictures are my eating habits. Since January this year, I’ve been trying to focus on being in a calorie deficit consistently. I still eat my favourite foods (🥨🧀🥓🍔🍕🌭🌮🍣🍫🍿🍩🍦🍪) but with a proper portion. Most of the time, I eat foods that make my tummy feel good and not bloated (🍓🍉🍍🥑🥦🥗🥖🥩🍗🍳🍝🍲🍜). At this point, I had already lost about 30 lbs just from walking my babies to the park in a stroller every day. Now, I’m weight training and in the best shape of my life! Second visit to the physio and all went well. Started to implement some more machine based excercises recently, never been overly keen on them and the selection I've got available to me isn't great so the potential is limited. I've just been chucking them in at the end of my sessions, as a superset. So these chest press sets have been supersetted with skullcrushers as part of my push day 😭😭 》 To be fair, although the options are limited I've quite enjoyed the addition of these unilateral machines as you really have to concentrate more on controlling them on the eccentrics, during bilateral movements. One of the reasons I've stayed away from machines the majority of the time is due to a lot of them taking away the need for our core stabilising muscles as the movement is very rigid however, these unilateral machines still incorporate stabilising muscles if you concentrate on the control on the eccentric 🙌🏽🙌🏽 》 It's good to use as many different excercises as you can so that you can keep your muscles guessing and target them from as many different angles as you can.
